By studying the shape and functioning of red blood cells, white blood cells, and the presence of metabolic by-products and pathogenic micro-organisms, Darkfield Microscopy allows the Practitioner to evaluate the health of someone’s “terrain”. As such, the Practitioner is able to detect warning signs of illness and reveal many underlying issues contributing to someone’s current state of health. Although not a diagnostic tool in itself, Live Blood Cell Analysis will reveal the factors compromising the ability of the body to achieve health. The advantage of this analysis over standard blood tests is the ability of Darkfield Microscopy to detect nutritional disorders sooner, when the problem is in its infancy stages.

Derrin Kluth, PT, DPT // Registered Physiotherapist

đŸŽ„ Meet Derrin! - Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology – Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire - Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Madison - Completed Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging Program at University of Toronto

Derrin was awarded his Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his inquisitive mind quickly led him to develop his skills in Fascial Therapy, which utilizes the assessment and treatment techniques of John Barnes’ Myofascial Release and related fascial treatment disciplines.

Since beginning to treat with the JBMFR method in 2011, he has successfully treated a wide variety of patients in multiple countries—including post-operative college athletes, chronic pain sufferers, neurological patients, and those with everyday aches and pains. Using the insights and experience he has learned since then, he utilizes an approach that specializes in finding and addressing the specific sources of symptoms that are hard to locate, or even explain, with other methods of treatment. He also specializes in educating, guiding, and instructing patients who are ready to begin to take their power back in developing the skill of home self treatment with the goal that they will require less and potentially even no in-clinic treatment as they increase their capability to do so.

The aim of his approach is to bring about lifestyle change to guide and facilitate a person through the healing journey from a state of chronic pain and disability to self-actualized recovery of the life they have lost. He starts by utilizing a detailed approach to assessment which emphasizes finding the root of symptoms caused or influenced by the fascial system which is unique to every individual. Once that is established, he begins to treat using a method incorporating precise and powerful hands-on tissue techniques to target and address those causes, followed by empowering the patient with self care techniques to become skilled at treating the causes themselves between visits. He then adds specific rehabilitative exercises to restore strength or mobility deficits which may be hindering motion. And finally he instructs in individually unique functional education to retrain the patient to correctly use their bodies to reduce pain and regain the ability to independently perform their chosen activities.

In his spare time, he participates in an eclectic mix of sports including several martial arts, and taking on tough hikes with his family in the beautiful Escarpment Country.

Tahmina is an RMT and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, Ontario and a member of the Canadian Alliance of Alternative Medicine. In 2011, Tahmina graduated in Emergency Services with Honours and immediately landed herself a job with Southlake Regional Health Centre. Within a few years, she further advanced her experience at Headwaters Healthcare Centre in Orangeville, Ontario. She often witnessed patients coming into the hospital for medical care of many different problems such as fibromyalgia, chronic pains, trauma from birth and much more.

In 2014, Tahmina completed her certification as a Certified Personal Trainer. Once again, Tahmina observed that the majority of her clients were coming in with a variety of complaints. She found herself reading and researching ways to try and further help their conditions. It was at this point that Tahmina decided to advance her education in Osteopathy and Massage Therapy. She successfully graduated from both programs allowing her a firm understanding of the human anatomy and physiology. While Tahmina treated her patients, she discovered that the body has an interrelated structural and functional system and by removing mechanical restrictions found in our joints, muscles, ligaments, visceral organs or fascia, the body is then in turn able to self regulate and promote healing.

Tahmina has treated conditions such as scoliosis, plantar fasciitis, TMJ disorder, chronic joint pain, and sports injury. Tahmina specializes in paediatric osteopathy focusing on infants/children suffering from plagiocephaly, tongue-tie, torticollis, colic and much more. “To find health should be the object of the practitioner, anyone can find disease”, Dr A.T. Still.

Jacquelyn is a Registered Massage Therapist, who has been practicing Myofascial Release for 4 years. She has taken over 100 hours of additional training in treating jaw disorders, pelvic imbalances, cranial tension, chronic pain and complex disorders. Her background in advocating & counseling clients experiencing trauma, was the foundation which led her to bodywork. She learned that while talk therapy can be very valuable; memories, grief & trauma are stored in the body and often show up as physical discomfort and pain. Myofascial Release allows clients to tune in to their bodies, feel somatic sensations, calm down the nervous system and release emotions & restrictions.

Jacquelyn is not your average Swedish Massage therapist. Treatments are not only about resolving symptoms, but finding the root causes of pain & restriction in order to create long lasting healing. Jacquelyn has experience in treating a wide range of conditions, injuries, physical & emotional trauma, as well as complex and chronic dis-ease. Treatment plans are created based on clinical assessment, client’s experiences, feelings & goals.

Client input & continuous feedback are key to successful changes. A significant part of creating a treatment plan is teaching & empowering clients to learn how to do their own “self-releases” so that the body feels well cared for on a daily basis. Jacquelyn strives to provide a space where clients feel validated & heard.

In her spare time Jacquelyn is dedicated to volunteering with a farmed animal sanctuary & being involved with rescuing dogs. She is committed to a healthy lifestyle & finds joy in her yoga practice, spirituality, dancing & spending time in nature.

Cherivic’s calm nature and nurturing intuitiveness is found through her voice when centering, talking about breath awareness or guided meditation. From a young age fitness and dance became a passion of hers, as she always found freedom in movement and flexibility, which led her to try a yoga class. Immediately she fell in love! The awareness of being in the present moment, as well as, the movement into postures spoke to her childhood memories of being a ballerina.

Cherivic has now been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Her passion for yoga and spiritual healing has grown since giving birth to her son, as it has allowed her to decompress and find solace in her much needed “me time”. Throughout life’s challenges, her practice is something she always comes back to; bringing her back to center and finding that peace within.

Cherivic completed her training at Kula Oakville and continues to expand and explore her love of yoga, yoga philosophies and spirituality. She has also completed training in Restorative yoga, Myofascial Yin yoga and has received her Master’s in Reiki.
